Choose the accessory for the installed Bosch panel rather than relying on the Bosch brand name alone.

• Solution 2000 – Residential alarm platform with its own compatible PCB, code pads, communications and expansion options.
• Solution 3000 – Residential and small-business platform supporting selected wired and wireless accessories.
• Solution 6000 – Advanced residential and commercial platform with LAN modules, expanders, readers, communications and access-control options.

Some products also support older Bosch panels or other Bosch premises systems. Confirm the control-panel model, accessory model, connection type and firmware before purchase.

Communication accessories can provide compatible IP, Wi-Fi, 4G or app-connected functions, but the module alone does not guarantee smartphone control.

• Confirm the Bosch panel and communicator or interface model.
• Check whether Ethernet, Wi-Fi or a mobile network is required.
• Allow for SIM, data, monitoring or app subscription costs where applicable.
• Confirm whether the system requires MyAlarm, iFob or another supported service.
• Professional programming and account setup may be required before remote functions operate.

Zone, output, relay, LAN and communication modules can increase system capacity or replace an existing component. The correct module depends on the Bosch panel series and the function being added.

• Confirm whether the accessory is a plug-in board, LAN device or separate interface.
• Check available panel capacity, addresses, enclosure space and system power.
• Replacement PCB boards may require compatible code pads, transformers, batteries and enclosures.
• Panel replacement normally requires licensed installation, programming and complete system testing.

User controls are not universally interchangeable between Bosch alarm series.

• Bosch code pads – Select by panel series, display style and supported functions.
• Smart-card readers and tokens – Confirm reader technology, credential type and Solution 6000 configuration.
• Bosch remote controls – Require a supported receiver and must be enrolled and programmed.
• RADION wireless detectors – Require a compatible Bosch wireless receiver and supported panel configuration.

Existing keypad wiring or a Bosch-labelled remote does not by itself confirm compatibility.

Detection and warning devices must be selected for the intended location and the alarm panel’s available zones, outputs and power capacity.

• Motion detectors – Compare PIR, Quad PIR, TriTech, wireless, ceiling, outdoor and professional models.
• Smoke, glass-break, reed and specialist sensors – Confirm the detector purpose, wiring method and panel compatibility.
• Sirens and screamers – Check internal or external use, voltage, current draw, enclosure and strobe requirements.

Detector coverage, pet immunity, environmental rating and mounting requirements vary by model. Siren output loads must remain within the system design limits.

Transformers, LAN power supplies, battery chargers, backup batteries and metal enclosures must be matched to the alarm system and connected load.

• Confirm the specified input and output voltage.
• Check current capacity and total accessory load.
• Use the correct rechargeable standby-battery type and capacity.
• Confirm enclosure dimensions, mounting space and tamper requirements.
• Check whether the product includes the battery, transformer, cabinet, leads or mounting hardware.

Mains-powered equipment and fixed alarm wiring should be installed by an appropriately licensed technician.

• Locate the model number printed on the alarm PCB, code pad, receiver or existing accessory.
• Compare the full part number rather than relying on product appearance.
• Check the product description for inclusions and exclusions.
• Confirm firmware, receiver and subscription requirements where relevant.
